natural skin care products

I have been confused for a long time now how to take care of my skin.  Everybody seems to say opposing things about the nature of skin care.  A lot of expensive products have come out in the last decades that claim all sorts of things about the limits of skin care and how one should use the new product lines for our own skin health.

I fell into so many different gimmicks and product lines, I feel sort of ridiculous about the whole thing now.  What ended up working for me, after a long time of hunting for good skin was a good diet, exercise, and natural skin care products and that was it.  That’s the secret for a healthy mind and body.  It was for me anyway.

As we’ve stressed time over time in this blog, your diet can dictate how great your skin looks.  You’ll want to use the natural skin care products, but you should also have a balanced diet.  One of the factors that most people seem to forget about is fiber.

Fiber, a non-digestible form of carbohydrate found in certain plans, cannot be digested or absorbed by the body, making it beneficial for a host of whole-body health concerns. Dietary fibers absorb water, stabilize blood sugar levels, lower blood cholesterol and remove certain toxic heavy metals from the body.

Using natural herbal products offers up more pros than cons.  The synthetic chemicals used in most commercial products will often worsen skin problems.  Many of these products that you find at big box retailers and drug stores that are not organic will contain harsh chemicals, dyes and fragrances that will aggravate the skin.  Using natural products will not harm your skin like many other of their commercial counterparts.

Stop Smoking!

One of the best tips I can give is, if you’re a smoker, stop smoking.

Daily moisturizing and using premium natural skin care products can do wonders for those wrinkles, but your efforts will all be for naught if you can’t give up the nicotine habit.

Smoking expedites the aging process and contributes to wrinkles by narrowing the blood vessels in your skin, which robs said skin of oxygen and nutrients.

There are numerous ways to quit smoking such as nicotine patches and substituting cigarettes for chewing gum, that is, if you suffer from an oral fixation.  The important thing is that if your goal is to have healthy skin, the best you can do, outside of a skin regiment, is to drop that cigarette.

The Benefits of Herbal Skin Care

natural herbal productsIf you want to draw away from using skin care products that use numerous chemicals and synthetic properties which most educated people have trouble pronouncing, you may want to try natural herbal products.

While having a good diet is a complimentary idea to having great looking, healthy skin, using herbal skin care can add to it.  The ingredients in natural products do not contain the kind of harmful chemicals that are found in most commercial beauty products; most times they are also animal-friendly, meaning that they have not been tested on animals.  Trying out natural care won’t do any harm and, if anything, you’ll find that the glowing skin you’ll have won’t be due to sitting in tanning booth.
